Market person and driver
Full-time baker
Wooster's Bakery Ltd is a small artisan bakery operating in Suffolk - though the job advertised is for a role at our production site in between Diss and Thetford. We are professional and innovative; and our goal is to produce high-quality high-skilled bakery products in a great work environment.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of artisanal baked goods, including sourdough, continental and traditional English bread, laminated savoury and sweet pastries (viennoisery, puff), cakes, cookies
- Follow recipes and formulae and ensure that all products meet quality and consistency standards
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines in the preparation and handling of food
- ability to mix a range of English and continental breads. Or at least the want to learn these skills
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of baking supplies
- Collaborate with other bakery staff to ensure smooth operation of the bakery
Experience:
- Previous experience as a baker or in a culinary role is expected: 1 year in bakery (would consider equivalent 2 years in a professional kitchen)
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Though courses are offered to update any previous certificates
- Familiarity with different baking techniques and recipes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks. Urgency is a must
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

Market person and driver
Immediate start
We are looking for a friendly, warm, enthusiastic and determined front-of-house person to work our market van in Bury St Edmunds on Saturdays. Must be ready to work a long day and have a reasonable level of fitness.
Start time: 6AM
Finish time: 5PM
Every Saturday
Pay: £13 per hour
Holiday: pro rata
Start and finish is from our bakery site at Riddlesworth IP22 2TD.
Market hours themselves are 7AM-4PM.
Responsibilities:
- Loading the van with crates of bread and pastry at bakery site at IP22 2TD, ensuring all equipment for the successful running of the day is packed
- Driving the box van to market (no special licence required but the van is large)
- Parking at our pitch by 7AM on the Buttermarket in Bury town centre, setting up the display
- Serving our bread and pastries to lots of people. We will give full training and education on our products
- Clean and tidy the van to a high standard once the goods are sold
- Pack down and leave the market at 4PM sharp
- Unload at the bakery. Finish time around 5PM
There will be a second person working all day with you.
